How to Contact Other Users

A guide to our network feature
1 Jan 2024
User Guides

Our new website makes connecting with OKS, former staff, and parents easier than ever! Whether you're looking to network or reconnect with a friend, our user-friendly and secure 'network' feature has you covered.

To create a safe and exclusive network, everyone with a profile on this website has been pre-approved by the Development and Alumni Office, meaning that all registered members are part of the King's community. Members can exchange private messages and send connection requests once logged in.

How to contact other users

Click 'Connect' on the banner at the top of the page, or click here.

Scroll down to 'Search for Members.' Here, you will be able to search by name, city, country and industry.

If you are an OKS, you may find it helpful to search for other OKS by using the 'year from' and 'year to' filters.

Click 'search' - a list of members matching your search criteria will pop up. Click on the person you'd like to connect with to be taken to their profile. Above their profile photo, you will see two options: "Send a message" and "Send a connection request". From here, you can view the persons profile and make contact.

Your profile and details are only visible to people who have signed up and been approved to join our website.

Can't find who you're looking for?

If you can't find who you're looking for, it is likely that the person has not created an account yet. Please encourage them sign up - our network works best with more members!

Click HERE to invite others to join.

Tips for using the network

  • Update your profile - including career and education background
  • Upload a profile photo - help others recognise you!
  • Be kind and considerate to other members
  • Introduce yourself - perhaps start with your connection to King's
  • Invite friends to join to help our network thrive
