On 25 - 26 June 2026, the King's community came together to celebrate a landmark moment in the School's history: our very first Giving Day.
Over 36 hours, pupils, parents, OKS, staff and friends united behind one shared goal - to support The Charter Awards Bursary Fund and help open more doors to a King's education to talented and motivated young people.
The response was truly incredible! Thanks to your support and enthusiasm a across the school community, we have now raised £187,007 (and counting!), with an incredible 447 donors coming together to support transformational bursaries at King's. Alongside this achievement, we saw 155 messages of support left on our donor wall, hosted 7 Giving Day events, and reached supporters across 33 countries worldwide.
"King’s gave me a core foundation of values and life-long friendships. A profound thanks to all the brilliant teachers who taught me. Hoping this wonderful event becomes annual and provides a King’s Education to as many aspiring pupils as possible."
- Message from an OKS donor on the Giving Day donor wall
Whilst Linacre House may have taken the inaugural Giving Day crown, every house played their part, coming together to achieve at least 10 donors each. Well done to them all!
Throughout the Giving Day, the School was alive with energy, enthusiasm and community spirit. Our pupils threw themselves into an inter-house competition featuring chess, pool and an epic, hotly contested tug of war. Members of our wider community joined us for a special coffee morning and evening BBQ, while our supporters also helped us achieve a series of fundraising milestones. Surely the highlight of the event was seeing our Head, Jude Lowson, join our talented musicians on stage for a memorable saxophone performance of Hey Jude to celebrate reaching 150 donations.
None of this would have been possible without you, so whether you helped spread the word, attended or supported events, or encouraged giving within your networks, your contribution has made a real difference. Thank you! We look forward to building on this success in 2028 and thank you once again for everything you’ve done to make this inaugural Giving Day so special.
