OKS Soak up the Sun at the OKS Summer Reunion 2026

A beautiful day at Birley's

Around 65 OKS gathered on Saturday 27 June 2026 for this year’s Summer Reunion, held in the Birley’s Marquee during King’s Week. Despite the intense heat of a mid-summer heatwave, attendees travelled from near and far - demonstrating a real commitment to staying connected with the King’s community. Bringing together the newest leavers of 2025 and OKS from across the decades, the day was a celebration of a truly diverse mix of generations.

Guests were welcomed with drinks in the exclusive marquee, followed by a relaxed BBQ lunch. The soaring temperatures made it one of the hottest reunion days in recent years, yet spirits remained high throughout. The strong turnout was a testament to the enthusiasm of the OKS community, with many making a special effort to attend despite the challenging conditions.

Throughout the afternoon, guests relaxed and enjoyed the lively King’s Week atmosphere at Birley’s, watching the cricket, touch rugby and tennis matches unfold. The event offered plenty of entertainment from the sidelines, with many taking the opportunity to catch up with friends while enjoying the action. The ice cream van proved especially popular, offering a welcome and much-needed refreshment in the heat.

A standout new feature for 2026 was the introduction of the King’s Association Summer Fair Stalls, which added an exciting new dimension to the reunion. Guests enjoyed exploring a fantastic line-up of stalls, including 101 Taiwanese Food (OKS), Cheeku’s (King’s Parents), Scoppa (Former JKS Parent), Rasa Malaysia (King’s Parents), New House Lane (King’s Staff), The Bootroom Company (OKS & Parents) and Flutterby Jewellery (King’s Parents). From tasty street food and sweet treats to lovely handmade pieces and thoughtful gifts, there was plenty to browse, try and enjoy. It brought a great buzz to the afternoon and was a really welcome addition to King’s Week.

The reunion also provided a meaningful opportunity to mark key milestones, particularly for leavers of 2025, 2021 and 2016. Above all, the day was a celebration of connection, resilience and community spirit, made all the more special by the effort everyone made to come together, even in the midst of the summer heatwave.

The next house reunion is for Meister Omers which takes place on Sunday 20 September 2026 - tickets are selling fast and can be booked here.
