A message from the Head, Jude Lowson:
It’s hard to put into words just how special this final half term has been – and in particular, how extraordinary King’s Week 2025 has felt. With more than 200 events packed into just a few days, the sheer scale and energy of the week has been nothing short of remarkable.
From the creative brilliance on display in the Art and Photography exhibitions, to the electrifying energy of the Jazz Concert and the emotional intensity of Wuthering Heights, every performance, every contribution, and every audience reaction reminded us what makes this school community so vibrant.
KiDaCo fizzed with invention and joy, the Gala Symphony was a masterclass in musical power and finesse, and everywhere you turned, pupils were giving their all, not just on stage or in galleries, but behind the scenes, front of house, and in support of one another.
And over several glorious and full-hearted performances, our very own Oasis tribute band were definitely better than the real thing.
King’s Week is the school in miniature: packed with opportunity, bursting with variety, and driven by the courage and commitment of our pupils. It was a wonderful final note to the week to hear that we’ve once again been shortlisted in the Independent Schools of the Year Awards in recognition of our outstanding contribution to the performing arts.
I hope you enjoy reading more about this special week and all of the other activity in a very busy half term for the school in the newsletter below.
