From telephone campaigns to the House of Commons, 2025 has been a big year for the OKS and King's Association! The Development team reflect back on 2025. 

Sold-Out OKS Dinner at the House of Commons 

Back in March 2025, we held the OKS President's Dinner at the House of Commons, formally celebrating the new OKS President (James Phipson (SH 1988-93). The event sold out incredibly fast, and we welcomed 170 OKS from around the globe for this special celebration.

A Year of International Events 

This year, we have held more international events than ever. For the first time, we visited Tokyo, Shanghai and Bangkok, and re-established events in Dubai, Nigeria and New York. The annual Hong Kong event also remains a highlight in the calendar.  

Telephone Campaign 

Our first telephone campaign in over 15 years, 'King's Calling 2025', took place over two weeks in the Summer. 13 enthusiastic recent leavers reached out to members of the King’s community across the UK and overseas reconnecting, reminiscing, and raising funds for a brighter future. Over the phone, they heard countless memories, stories and even received valuable career advice and mentorship.

Thanks to the generosity of our OKS and parents, the campaign raised an outstanding £80,445 and brought the School one step closer to its goal of funding 50 free places at King’s forever through the Charter Awards (transformational bursaries).

Nearly £1M Donated to Support King's

We are incredibly grateful that thanks to the friendship and generousity of the King's Community, nearly £1M has been donated this year in support of King's and our wonderful pupils. From widening access to the School through transfromational bursaries, to our Boat Club Fleet Appeal and supporting Sport at JKS, there isn't a part of King's that hasn't been shaped by your support.

Thank you to everyone who chose to donate this year! We look forward to continuing to share more about the enormous impact of your support in 2026.

Event Highlights 

In 2025, we held 46 OKS, King's Association and Development events. 

For the King's Association, we introduced brand-new events including wine tasting and a wreath making workshop. We also refreshed our guest list for the Gala Symphony Drinks Reception, to recognise the invaluable support of all of our volunteers. 

For OKS, a highlight was getting 21 former Captains of School together for Dinner in January! You can read all about this event and see photos of each former Captain here.

2025 Wrapped 

• 2,146 people attended an OKS, King's Association or Development event
• 46 OKS, King's Association and Development events were held 
• The most engaged house was Walpole House, followed closely by Luxmoore House and Linacre House
• The King's Association website has reached 2,385 online users - doubling in size

We'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to come along to an event, made a donation or simply been in touch with the Development team this year. Every interaction helps to create a strong and interactive community for OKS, parents, staff and friends of King's.
