With our King’s Calling telephone campaign on the horizon, we’re excited to introduce our calling team! This group of 6a pupils and recent leavers will be the friendly voices behind the calls. From Purples and Vice-Captains to talented dancers, musicians, and bursary award holders, each caller brings a unique perspective on life at King’s and they’re eager to share their stories with you.
Our 13 callers are:
You can read a few short bios below to learn more about the callers and what made their King’s experience special.
Zara Kolade (KD 2020-25)
Hi, I’m Zara and I was in Kingsdown House from 2020 to 2025. In my final year, I was Vice-Captain of School. My favourite memory of King’s going on the joint hockey and rugby tour to South Africa. I was also part of the FREDIE Gender Equality Committee – a pupil led body that aims to create a supportive environment and embraces fairness, equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement. For my future career I am torn between documentary directing, screen writing and being a criminal lawyer.
Lili Clifton (CY 2017-22)
I’m Lili and I was Carlyon House from 2017 to 2022. I was Head of House, a DT scholar and a member of the CCF.
What I enjoyed most about being at King’s was the company, I made so many friends at King’s that have superseded the school gates, as well as the beautiful school setting and I had really, great teachers that made me love my subjects.
My aspiration for my future is to have my own design company - designing selling and creating products and furniture. It is what I study at university, and I really love it!
Dylan (6a pupil)
I am a member of Mitchinson’s House and in September, I will be starting my 6a year. My favourite aspect of school is taking part in the numerous musical and theatrical productions. I am a member of Crypt Choir, Chapel Choir, and was part of the King’s men in shell, and I have been in several plays and musicals since being at the school, which I wish to take further, with the hopes of either becoming an actor or journalist when I am older.
Eleanor Symons (WL 2020-25)
At King’s I was Head of Walpole House and involved in politics societies, the 1st lacrosse captain and a member of the cricket 1st team. I am aiming to study history and politics at university after a gap year and then work in the realm of politics, possibly in the civil service or NGO realm (hopefully specialising in diplomacy or international relations).
What I love about King’s is the people. Both my friends as well as the teachers, everyone genuinely seems to adore everything about King’s, making it seem one big family. The kind of bonds I’ve been able to make at King’s will stick with me forever.
Our callers are really looking forward to speaking with you soon and having some great conversations over the phone.
King’s Calling will take place from 18 August to 1 September. Over these two weeks, a dedicated team of callers will be reaching out to our community to listen to stories, share news and invite support for The Charter Awards.
If you have been selected for a call, you will be contacted by email or letter by the Development Office. To find out more about King’s Calling, please click here.
