King’s Calling Telephone Campaign Taking Place This August

The past remembered, the future inspired

From 18 August to 1 September, a team of pupils and recent leavers will be calling members of the King's community as part of our telephone campaign - King’s Calling. This is your chance to reconnect with King’s: share memories of your time here, learn what life is like for pupils today, and let us know what you think about OKS events and communications. We will also be raising money for our transformational bursary campaign: the Charter Awards.

If you're selected to receive a phone call, we'll be in touch via email or letter very soon.

We look forward to speaking to as many of you as possible across the two weeks!

FAQS:

What are the Charter Awards?

Education can change lives. Bursaries can open doors to new experiences and put young people on different paths, helping them to achieve more than they ever thought possible.

Through the Charter Awards, King’s aims to build on our proud tradition of supporting bursaries, providing 50 full means-tested places, 500 years after our first 50 scholars. Phase one of our campaign (2023–2026) aims to raise £3m towards this target, supporting more children who have the ability and determination to have their lives transformed by a King’s education.

You can find out more about the Charter Awards here.

Will I receive a call?

We will try to reach as many OKS and parents as possible over the two weeks. If you have been selected, you will receive an email or a letter one week prior.

Can I be part of the campaign even if I can’t donate?

Absolutely. We understand that not everyone is able to give financially and that’s okay. Every conversation matters. Whether you’d like to share a favourite King’s moment, offer some advice to our recent leavers, or simply enjoy a friendly catch-up, our callers would love to hear from you.

I’d prefer not to receive a call. How do I let you know?

Of course. If you'd rather not receive a phone call, all you need to do is let us know and we will opt you out. Please get in touch with the Development Team to update your communication preferences by email community@kings-school.co.uk or phone 01227 595 778.

Can I still donate without receiving a call?

If you would like to donate but prefer not to receive a phone call, we would be incredibly grateful for your support. You can donate online, make a bank transfer or send a cheque. For more information on different ways to give, please visit our website or get in touch with the Development Team.

For any further questions, please contact Darren Ellis, Development Officer (dje@kings-school.co.uk, 01227 595 778).
