"How wonderful it is that this evening we have this piece of the Precincts here in the majestic harbour of Hong Kong” - Jude Lowson, Head
In May, three members of the King’s School, Canterbury staff visited Hong Kong where they enjoyed meeting up with members of the Hong Kong-based King’s School Community. Head Jude Lowson, International Director Nina Hunt and Development Director Jenny Grant were joined by over a hundred parents and OKS at a reception at the Hong Kong Club, an event generously paid for by current parents Nicholas and Fiona Johnson. The venue was stunning, with views out across Hong Kong, and as Jude remarked in her presentation, all felt the pleasure of being “amongst friends of the School despite being several thousand miles from Canterbury.”
Many of those present had not met Jude before, and were eager to make acquaintance, while it was the perfect opportunity for OKS to reconnect with each other, and for current parents to meet and exchange stories with their peers. A small number of prospective parents joined the gathering too, and cannot have failed to have been impressed by the friendship and warmth they encountered.
King’s will be back in Hong Kong at the end of September 2024, so keep an eye out for notification of the next Hong Kong event.
