The annual House Song competition took place on Thursday 16 October 2025. This year’s event was bigger than ever, with 17 houses taking part and New House (a new day house with flexi-boarding provision) making their House Song debut.
We can now reveal the results:
1st place - Galpin's House - Thank you for the Music by Abba
2nd place - Luxmoore House - Like a Prayer by Madonna
3rd place - Tradescant House - Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen
Commended - Walpole House and Linacre House
Other song choices include: Bad Romance by Lady Gaga (School House), Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey (Bailey House), Every Breath You Take by The Police (Meister Omers) and Shake it Out by Florence and the Machine (Walpole House).
Huge congratulations to Galpin’s House, who have now achieved the most House Song victories since the competition began in 1959!
