The King’s School Canterbury is pleased to announce a significant new chapter in its international journey with the establishment of The King’s School Canterbury, Cairo. In partnership with New Era Education, this landmark initiative brings the heritage and academic excellence of one of the world’s oldest and most respected schools to Egypt. 

Opening in September 2028, the school will welcome its first students into Year 9, with further year groups to follow. Applications for Year 9 will open in September 2027. 

Founded in 597 AD, The King’s School Canterbury has an unparalleled legacy of over 1,400 years, recognised globally for its academic rigour, holistic values, and commitment to shaping thoughtful, compassionate, and capable young people. The Cairo campus, located in New Sheikh Zayed within the prestigious IVY development will deliver a British curriculum grounded in the values and traditions of King’s while meeting the aspirations of 21st-century learners in Egypt.
