We are delighted to share that our whole school musical, Legally Blonde, has been nominated for three prestigious National School Theatre Awards.
The sell-out performances at The Malthouse Theatre received glowing praise from the awards representative as we picked up nominations for Best Musical 2025 and Best Ensemble 2025 and Joseph (MT) for Best Set, Lighting or Sound Design by a Pupil 2025.
Our whole school musical, Legally Blonde, took to the stage in The Malthouse Theatre for three performances and standing ovations across the week. An absolute triumph, the energy on stage was palpable and the beaming faces of the cast as they finished the show will be remembered for a long time.
Our congratulations to the cast, orchestra and crew who made the production possible.
On the Friday night, we were delighted to welcome back former King’s Head of Drama and School House Housemaster, Andrew Dobbin, as our special guest. Our leading pupils met with Andrew to welcome him to the Malthouse and give him a backstage tour. This included a viewing of the dressing room named in his honour, kindly supported by Grant Chum (SH 89-94). It was lovely to welcome Andrew back to the Drama Department at King’s, which owes so much to his commitment and support.
