On Wednesday 25 September 2024, for the first time, all three schools at King's were represented at the East Kent Ploughing Match. It was a huge success, and a great opportunity to meet OKS, parents and members of the wider King's community in person.
Aside from serving delicious refreshments throughout the day, King’s also offered our younger guests an opportunity to plant an acorn and take it home with them, demonstrating the Junior King's School's connection with nature. We showcased the freshest apple juice, grown in our very own Junior King’s orchards and shared photos and information about our new residents – Junior King’s Bees!
Head, Jude Lowson and Head of Admissions, Edward Gibson were there to meet members of Kent Community. Major Adam Vintner (School House Housemaster), Tom (Captain of School), Hector and Chloe (Fifth pupils) were on hand to speak about the school's Duke of Edinburgh Award programme and even brought their DofE full camping kit with them! Yuliya and Molly, of the King's Development Office, were there to speak to OKS and parents past and present. They enjoyed meeting some new faces over a glass of prosecco.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the King's School stand. We look forward to seeing you all there next year!
