On Sunday 11 October 2026, families gathered for a wonderful screening of Paddington, enjoying an afternoon filled with warmth, laughter and community spirit.

As our first-ever King's Association Afternoon at the Movies event, the occasion felt especially exciting. For one afternoon only, the Malthouse Theatre was magically transformed into a cosy cinema, creating the perfect setting for families to sit back and enjoy the much-loved adventures of everyone's favourite marmalade-loving bear.

Alongside the film, children enjoyed a range of activities, including colouring, story time and bubbles, while guests tucked into popcorn and, of course, delicious marmalade sandwiches. These special touches helped bring the world of Paddington to life and added to the fun of the afternoon.

One of the highlights of the event was the wonderful atmosphere throughout. It was lovely to see children, parents and grandparents enjoying the afternoon together, catching up with friends and making new memories. The event had a genuine family feel, reflecting exactly what the King's Association is all about.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our first cinema event such a great success. We look forward to welcoming families back for many more memorable occasions in the future.
