On Sunday 20 September 2026, 90 OKS returned to the King's to celebrate 90th anniversary of Meister Omers. Guests were welcomed back by current Housemaster, Richard Singfield, who hosted the reunion and set the tone for a day of celebration, memories and connection. One of the highlights of the day was the return of former Housemasters Paul Newbury (2001-2013) and Richard Ninham (2013-2019). Their presence was met with genuine warmth and excitement, as generations of OKS took the opportunity to reconnect and celebrate the lasting impact both Housemasters have had on life at Meister Omers.

The day began with tours of the House, giving OKS the chance to step back into their former 'home away from home', revisiting familiar corners and sharing cherished memories while also discovering some of the House's more recent developments. Led by current Meister Omers pupils, the tours were full of enthusiasm and insight, and were warmly received by returning guests. Along the way, visitors were reminded of many of the House's unique features, including its famous fireplace, reputed to be the largest domestic fireplace in the United Kingdom. Unsurprisingly, this prompted plenty of conversation and more than a few friendly debates about just how many pupils could fit inside it.

After the tours, guests gathered in the beautiful Meister Omers garden, overlooking the Cathedral, for a drinks reception. Richard welcomed everyone before handing over to Head of House, Rei, who reflected on his own experiences at King's and what Meister Omers means to today's pupils. Guests then made their way to the Main Dining Hall for a celebratory lunch.

Throughout the day, there was a wonderful sense of camaraderie as OKS from across the decades renewed friendships, shared memories and celebrated the House that had brought them together.

The reunion was a fitting way to mark 90 years of Meister Omers, celebrating the friendships, traditions and strong sense of belonging that continue to connect generations of Meister Omers long after they leave King's.
