Conor Staniforth (Head of Fencing at King's) reports on the OKS Fencing Match on Saturday 27 June 2026.

It was a lovely day for the OKS Match on Green Court this year! With a full compliment of OKS fencers coming back to test the mettle of the King's fencers, OKS took on the men's and women's pupil teams from King's. The King's Women's team lost to OKS 22 - 45 and the King's Men's team won their fight against the OKS 45 - 42. All of our fencers gave a fantastic effort demonstrating their tenacity and relentless drive. 

It was an absolute pleasure to see familiar faces from the OKS come back to fight on familiar ground, and to see the community that fencing at King's fosters. It was a lovely day for the event and has excited the next generation of fencers who eagerly await their own turn on the Green Court.
