The iconic London Marathon takes place on Sunday 26 April 2026, here are just a few of the OKS running the race:
Issy Forbes (MT 2009-14) and Angus (MT 2011-16) – Slide Away
Sibling duo Issy and Angus Forbes are taking on the London Marathon together to raise funds for Kent-based charity Slide Away. The charity offers specialised support to bereaved and grieving children and young people in Kent.
Issy and Angus have raised £4895 of a £5000 target. You can view their JustGiving page here.

Saskia Piper (MR 2011-16) – Marie Curie
Saskia is running the upcoming London Marathon in aid of Marie Curie – a charity that works hard to support those who are in need of crucial end of life support. This is a cause close to Saskia’s heart and will be the second event she fundraises for in loving memory of her Nani.
Saskia has raised £2021 of a £2500 target. You can view her fundraising page here.
Charles Wells (MR 1994-99) – National Brain Appeal
Fifteen years since he had a brain haemorrhage, Charles is completing the London Marathon to raise funds for The National Brain Appeal. He hopes his efforts will help fund projects to accelerate the adoption of latest innovations in brain recovery.

Katherine Black (née Torry, WL 1998-2003) and Liana Henchman (née Anderson, HH 1998-2003) – Stroke Association
OKS duo, Katherine and Liana, are embarking on the London Marathon in aid of Stroke Association. They aim to raise awareness of the physical and mental damage around stroke and raise fund in support of the charity’s guidance for families.
Both Katherine and Liana’s families have personally been affected by strokes, and are running in memory of Liana’s father, Jerry.
