King’s Rowing Community Inspired at Henley Royal Regatta

Our Annual Lunch 2025.

On the Wednesday of King’s Week, Luke Reiser, King’s Head of Rowing, and Ben Loxton-Edwards (MR 1990-95), Chairman of the Canterbury Pilgrims Boat Club, hosted over 60 OKS, pupils and parents at the Canterbury Pilgrims & King's School Canterbury Boat Club marquee. This was for their annual lunch at the Henley Royal Regatta.

As always, the gathering was a celebration of rowing at King’s and an opportunity for our pupils to be inspired by the atmosphere of undoubtedly the best-known regatta in the world.

Over Lunch, Luke shared his excitement for the King’s Boat Club for the coming years. The Team gave an incredible performance on the water this year and our pupils remain on track not only to qualify, but to make inroads into the week. We look forward to next year’s event with anticipation and excitement!

Following the lunch, those with Stewards’ Enclosure badges went to watch the races with an unrivalled view. Special thanks go to Ben and his fellow Pilgrims for providing the pupils and guests with over 40 badges.

Thank you to all who joined us and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2026!

Thank you for supporting the Boat Club Fleet Appeal

Earlier this year, we launched our first ever Fleet Appeal. The response has been truly incredible and we are so grateful to all those who have supported, in whatever way.

The King’s Boat Club has a proud history but today, our boats and blades need updating to reflect our ambitions. Through the Appeal, you can help our pupils to compete on the race-worthy equipment they need to achieve their personal bests and sustain the Club into the future.

Thanks to your support, we’re over 70% of the way there. If you are yet to donate and are able to do so, please join us. You can find out more via our Case for Support, donate online or please get in touch directly, we would be delighted to hear from you. Thank you.
