2025 Telephone Campaign Opportunity for Recent Leavers

Earn over £800 in two weeks this summer by joining our 2025 Telephone Campaign

The OKS Office is looking for recent leavers to join our team of callers for this year's telephone campaign.

For two weeks, from Monday 18 August - Monday 1 September we will be calling OKS to encourage support for the Charter Award bursary programme.

What does the caller role involve?

You will be working as part of a team of 13 callers, making phone calls to OKS.

You’ll listen to the OKS and talk about their experience at King’s, memories, and their career beyond King’s. As a caller, you also have the chance to share your own experience with the OKS, as well as sharing recent updates from King’s.

Finally, you call will raise awareness, and hopefully donations, towards the Charter Awards – transformational bursaries at King’s.

What skills do I need?

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Excellent telephone communication skills and manner
  • Good listener
  • Committed and reliable
  • Confidence
  • Able to work as a team
  • Passionate and positive about King’s

No previous experience is necessary – all callers will receive full training and information packs.

Where is the role based, and when will I be working?

Our pupil and OKS calling team will be based inside Mitchinson’s House at The King’s School Canterbury.

You must be available for the duration of the campaign and calling will take place on evenings and weekends with scheduled days off over the fortnight.

Why apply?

This is a chance to earn some money over the summer holidays, gain work experience and boost your CV. You will also have the chance to speak to OKS who have studied similar courses and have lots of career advice to offer, meaning it is a great networking opportunity.

You’ll be in a team of 13 callers, all current 6th form pupils or recent leavers, so it will be a fun environment to work in!

You could earn over £800, if you work all shifts.

To apply please click here applications close on the 26 June and for more information please contact Darren Ellis (Development Officer).
