Why You Should Choose a Career in the Contemporary Art World

Presented by Henri Neuendorf (MO 2003-07)

Henri started his career in 2012, working entry-level jobs at two contemporary art galleries in Berlin. Two years later, he got a job as a journalist for a recently established online art publication called Artnet News. After working as a staff writer for about a a year-and-a-half, Henri was offered the opportunity to move to New York in 2016.

Henri quickly established himself as an art market reporter in New York City, the most important global marketplace for the art trade. Seeking a new challenge, Henri was able to transfer to Artnet’s online auctions department as a Specialist for Contemporary Art where he has facilitated the sale of hundreds of contemporary artworks.
