Nearly £1M raised in a Year of Extraordinary Generosity

Thank you for your support

The 2025/26 academic year has been one of the most successful and inspiring years of philanthropic support in recent memory at King's. Thanks to the generosity and friendship of our community, more than £940,000 has been raised in support of the School's mission and future ambitions.

At a time when independent schools face significant challenges, our OKS, parents, staff and friends have demonstrated a remarkable commitment to ensuring that future generations of young people can benefit from the exceptional education and opportunities that define a King's experience.

To every supporter and volunteer who has contributed this year, we are enormously grateful for your support. Thank you. In recognition of your friendship, we are delighted to share just some of the highlights from 2025/26 that your support has made possible.

Opening Doors through The Charter Awards - 6th Young Person Supported

Since 1541 and the arrival of our first 50 King's Scholars, supporting the education of promising young people, regardless of their social or economic background, has been a fundamental part of the School’s ethos. We firmly believe that the opportunity to benefit from a King's education should be accessible to all those with the talent, character and potential to thrive here. We also know that a supportive and diverse community is one in which every individual can flourish.

Thanks to the generosity and unwavering support of friends such as yourselves, together with the commitment of the School, The Charter Awards bursary fund has grown significantly since its launch in 2023. We are immensely proud to have welcomed our sixth Awardee this September. Their early achievements demonstrate the profound impact that access to this opportunity can have, not only on the pupils themselves but also on the wider School community. Thank you for your support.

Encouraging Excellence for Every Pupil - 12 Projects Enabled

Generous donations have supported 12 different projects this year, enriching the pupil experience and creating opportunities well beyond the classroom.

From boats for the King’s Rowing Club to additional musical instruments, including a beautiful drum kit, your support is helping pupils to thrive in every area of school life. We are also delighted that a remarkable legacy gift is making it possible to create cricket nets at the Junior School, providing an outstanding facility for current and future generations of young cricketers. Every project reflects the impact of philanthropy in helping pupils develop their talents, pursue their passions and make the most of their time at King’s.

A Remarkable Giving Day Raises £187K

One of the year's standout moments was King's Giving Day 2026, which brought together parents, OKS, pupils, staff and friends of the School in a powerful celebration of our community and its shared commitment to King’s.

Thanks to generous match-funding pledges and hundreds of gifts of every size, the Day generated tremendous support for The Charter Awards and demonstrated that, from first-time donations and regular monthly gifts to event participation and major philanthropic support, every contribution can make a real difference.

A huge congratulations to Linacre House for topping the leaderboard, to School House for winning the hotly contested Giving Day Tug-of-War, and to everyone who took part. Thank you for helping to make the Day such a success.

Looking Ahead - Thank you!

As we look to the future, we do so with immense gratitude. Thank you to every supporter who has contributed to this remarkable year. Together, we are ensuring that King's remains a place where talent can flourish, ambition can thrive, and opportunity is available to all.
