Announcing Our First Ever Giving Day – Thursday 25 June 2026
We are delighted to announce an exciting milestone for the King’s School: our very first Giving Day, taking place on Thursday 25 June 2026, kicking off the iconic King’s Week.
This will be a 36-hour celebration of generosity, community and impact, a day when OKS, parents, friends and supporters from across the world come together to support the pupils and programmes that make King’s so special.
What is a Giving Day?
A Giving Day is an energetic, focused moment of fundraising, designed to bring our community together around shared purpose. Over 36 hours, we will be highlighting the areas where support makes the greatest difference, sharing stories from across the King’s community, and encouraging participation at every level, whether that’s through giving, volunteering, or spreading the word.
While the tone will be fun, uplifting and inclusive, the purpose is serious: to strengthen King’s for current pupils and future generations by unlocking new support and widening participation in giving. This year, the Day will be in support of our greatest priority, The Charter Awards transformational bursary camapaign.
We need your help
To make our first Giving Day a success, we are calling on the King’s community for support in three key areas:
1. Organising events
Whether it’s a small gathering, a reunion-style event, a coffee morning, or an online get-together, events help bring the day to life and create a sense of shared celebration. If you’d like to host or help organise something, we would love to hear from you.
2. Match funding
Match gifts are a powerful motivator. Pledging match funding at any level can inspire others to give and dramatically increase the impact of donations on the day. If you or your network might be able to offer matching support, please let us know.
3. Assisting on the day
From helping to spread the word on social media to supporting live updates and challenges, there will be lots of ways to get involved on the day itself. Extra hands and enthusiastic voices will make a real difference.
Get involved
This Giving Day belongs to the whole King’s community, and its success will be shaped by the people behind it. If you are interested in helping in any of the ways above or have ideas we haven’t yet thought of we would be delighted to talk.
Please get in touch with Darren Ellis to register your interest and be part of this landmark moment.
Thursday 25 June 2026 save the date. Together, let’s make our first Giving Day one to remember.
