Kate Chernyshov (SH 1984-86) Appointed as Next Chair of King’s Robert Rose Society

We are delighted to announce that Kate Chernyshov (SH 1984-86) has agreed to become the next Chair of the Robert Rose Society. The Society celebrates those in our community who choose to leave a gift in their will to the School, ensuring that the transformative power of a King’s education continues for generations to come.

As an OKS, King’s parent and former staff member, Kate brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the values and traditions of King’s. Her appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the Robert Rose Society, which plays a vital role in sustaining the school’s future through philanthropic support.

In her new role, Kate will work closely with OKS, parents and friends to foster meaningful connections and promote the lasting impact of legacy giving. Her leadership will also help strengthen the Society’s mission: to honour the generosity of its members and to inspire others to consider how their legacy might shape the future of King’s.

Speaking about her appointment, Kate said:

"It is a privilege to be part of a tradition that reflects such enduring love and loyalty to King’s. The Robert Rose Society is more than a group of supporters—it is a testament to the lifelong connection so many feel to this extraordinary school. I look forward to building on this legacy and welcoming new members into the fold."

Kate succeeds Richard Ashworth (SH 1960-64) who stepped down at the end of the Summer after many years of wonderful service. Richard has been a passionate advocate for the School and the work we do, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all that he has achieved. He passes on a thriving collective to Kate and we extend our thanks and best wishes for his well-deserved retirement.

If you are considering a legacy to King's, please get in touch with either Kate, or our Head of Development, Bryony Dutta – both can be reached by emailing us here. Although we are unable to offer legal or financial advice, we would be very pleased to speak with you about your intentions. You can also find out more via our Website, and our Gifts in Wills Guide. Thank you.
