What is your favourite memory of King's?
The Sounding Out Summer Showcase in King’s Week. The highlight was the local primary school children playing alongside the King’s orchestra. It reflected everything that is best about the school and the role we have to play in our wider community. Thank you to all our supporters who made this possible!
Molly focuses on engagement and looks after both The OKS Association and The King's Association. Molly is the key point of contact for all members of both associations. Within the team, she collaborates in creating and hosting events, manages the King's Association website, and can often be seen giving tours of King's to our wonderful OKS.
What is your favourite sight at King's?
The school library at St Augustine’s! The building itself is beautiful, but when you’re sitting inside, you’re surrounded by interesting books and you get a great view of the Dovecote lawn and abbey ruins.
Darren is another member of our team who focuses on fundraising and regular giving. Within the team, he manages the 1541 Club and Telephone Campaign, contributes to The King's Association website, and is a big supporter of our Sounding Out programme. Darren can often be seen advocating for a hearty game of bowls.
What is your favourite thing about King's?
The team ethos and how supportive all staff are of each other and how we work together on a variety of projects. Especially in the Development Office where we cover events, OKS and fundraising and are constantly bouncing ideas and supporting each other.
From house reunions to OKS Christmas Drinks, Yuliya focuses on creating and hosting all events for OKS and King's Association members. Yuliya is a key part of our team, often seen clutching a big mug of coffee and sharing Ukrainian snacks with the office.
What is your favourite thing about King's?
It’s hard to pick just one favourite thing about King’s! From the stunning views of the Cathedral to the beautifully kept gardens around the site, every walk to the office feels special, rain or shine. But if I had to choose, I’d say it’s the incredible students who truly set King’s apart. Every time a student has helped with one of my events, I’ve been so impressed by their maturity, intelligence, and kindness. They are truly in a league of their own!
Chloe is the newest member of the team and works part time alongside completing her PhD. She focuses on helping the team with OKS and Development admin, including data, events, emails and general OKS queries.
What is your favourite thing about King's?
There are so many to choose from! The team is so friendly and welcoming, the view from my window consistently amazes me, and (of course) the lunches are phenomenal. Truly a wonderful place to work.
