Charlie Nosworthy (SH 2021-26) is embarking on a cycling adventure in December 2026 and writes to the King's community for their support.

The OSCAR foundation is an amazing charity I heard of through a family friend. Based in Mumbai, their goal is to empower underprivileged children and young people through sports and education, since 2010 they have helped over 15,000 children and young people in Mumbai.

In January 2027, I will be travelling to Mumbai to volunteer, teaching English and basic maths whilst helping with football skills sessions.

Before I travel, I’ve set out to do a one-day cycle from Greenwich to Dover in order to raise money for the OSCAR foundation charity (roughly 80 miles/130 km), the cycle should take around 7 or 8 hours. I’m lucky enough to have family to support me at checkpoints along the way and even friends to join for legs of the ride!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and thank you for any donations made! I also have an Instagram account dedicated to the cycle, which you can check out here: @charlie.cycles.4.oscar
