This month's Book of the Month is Woven Lies by Audrey So (BY 2023-25).
About the Book
Alena Rose was a prisoner dressed in the title of a princess. She spent her childhood and adolescence trapped in the wintery palace of Enamor, under the control of her father and the taunting of her peers. Following her father’s triumph in the war between Enamor and Armelle, she is forced to become the wife of the Armellan king, Eliah Heris, as an ironic war prize. Alena can only brace herself for the worst.
But what starts as a marriage of humiliation soon morphs into something else. Despite being isolated from the world of Tellehoven, in a royal neighbourhood slithering with shadow servants, Alena notices a spark igniting between her and Eliah. She also finds comfort in the members of his court, and her dreams of belonging are finally within reach. However, things are always too good to be true. As she tries to placate the prying eyes of her father, Alena finds herself tangled in Eliah’s dangerous, violent web.
